Who We Are
Maximize Your Billable Time is an endeavor started by the guys at Chrometa. Brett and Chihab founded Chrometa back in 2007. The original inspiration for our product came from Adam — a close friend of Brett — then a freshly-minted attorney out of law school, who hated doing his timesheets. When Brett found out his friend wasn’t alone, he and Chihab left their day jobs to solve this problem…and soon Chrometa was born. Shortly thereafter, JP joined the Duo and has been heading up product and support since.
Why?
Chrometa was founded on the crux of helping people realize their full potential. Through our own experiences running a small software business, we know it’s hardly easy. Even with great advisors, we often learned things the hard way. Despite the abundance of small-business and startup resources available online and elsewhere, it’s still hard to sift through the noise. Everyone is giving advice making it difficult to sort the good from the bad.
We found that aside from learning from our own mistakes was learning from others in the same boat as us. While we built our software to solve a rather specific, yet pervasive problem, we began to realize that what we really enjoyed doing is helping other small businesses like ourselves succeed. Recognizing that the many of our customers had to juggle their practice with the technicalities of running a business, Maximize Your Billable Time was created to give like-minded entrepreneurs and professionals a place to learn and connect.
